The brand Shambez was created and built to help others. After spending some time in East Africa and seeing first hand the problems associated with unemployment, poverty and no government support we had to come up with ways to help.
As we have one foot in East Africa and the other in Australia we decided it would be fantastic to help women in both countries. We all know that women are usually the main care givers in society, and without the ability to feed or cloth your children due to domestic violence or lack of support, a woman’s heart can sink into the bare earth seeing her children hungry and unable to attend school.
Many women all over the world are forced to give their much loved children up to orphanages due to economical challenges that they can find no solution for. How do you support women to help their children? The answer is clear to us, having an education, feeling safe and being able to work, help to make a woman feel strong and valued.
We at Shambez are not able to financially support these women off our own backs, we had to put on our thinking caps and come up with an idea to create employment in the rural villages where there is none. These amazingly patient women spend 4 hours on one bracelet in return for money to feed, cloth and educate their children.
You can feel good about your purchase as each bracelet sold is helping a mum and her kids in Africa and one dollar from each bracelet sold will go to towards helping disadvantaged kids and their mothers in Australia. Be proud of your country and the safety it provides for you and your family. Be grateful to the traditional owners of this beautiful land, we are all blessed to be here.
NOTE: We do not underpay the women who make these bracelets and we donate $1:00 for every bracelet sold to a woman’s refuge here in Australia.
We know we can’t solve every problem but making a small difference in someone’s life can. Another issue that we became aware of was the bed bug infestations that typically affects the boarding schools and leaves kids suffering with Anemia and constant lethargy. If there is a bad infestation you can get bitten up to 500 times a night, these bites can also be painful and itchy. There is no such thing as a good night sleep when you share your bed with bed bugs.
We are currently corresponding with NGO’S in Africa to get them to supply the rural areas and boarding schools with our BED BUG TERMINATOR Powder. Our BED BUG TERMINATOR is 100% non toxic, organic, Chemical free, ECO Freindly, Safe to people and pet friendly and most of all, inexpensive.
If you are in the fortunate position to donate money we can help make this happen by supplying boarding schools and village leaders with our product to circulate to the kids and the remote communities where they cannot afford it at: www.shambez.com
